Love is Blue

I found a gorgeous blue bag this week, and have been listening to lots of jazz/blues music.    Hence my all-over-the-place photos with one common theme:  what I love, what is blue (or in a few cases blue/green), and sometimes, both.  And if you haven't discovered Dionne Bromfield, give her a listen.  I'm loving her modern Motown/pop twist.
Happy August!

I'm utterly intrigued by Repetto.  These shoes might look grand with a turnout from

Jet Set shoes are so divine...

Anyone can rock this simple look (sorry, not blue but love this crazy necklace).

My favorite apartment building, just around the corner from where I live.  The ceramicist is as famous as the architect.  A few detailed photos below.

More incredible Majorelle colors;  merci YSL.

Two loves:  My Kindle with blue cover; a chinese urn I've had for years and years.

A new and a forever love:  My majorelle blue bag and Beau, sporting a blue Puppia.

Tour de France! Tour de St Honore! Chanel et Chopard

Finally a sunny day in Paris...perfect for the last day of the Tour de France.  Before visiting Le Musee des Arts Decoratifs to see Ralph Lauren's car collection, we strolled down rue St. Honore and snapped the newest in the Chanel windows.  I couldn't resist including a few Chopard handbags, the Goyard bulldog, and rings from Bijoux Burma.
Bon Dimanche!

Chanel pink flowers in the window boxes!

Logo in the marble entrance.

Note the large purse in the lower left corner.  Below are more photos....it's a video screen celebrating the newest Chanel J12 Diver watch.

Love the double cuffs.

Mirrored chinoiserie screens were the background in all the windows.

You can never be too rich, too thin, or have enough interlocking Cs.

Chopard bag snakeskin bag with Happy Diamonds lock.

Sporty Chopard tote

The signature Chopard monkey logo on canvas bag with vachetta accents.

Goyard...love the bulldog mascot.

Bijoux Burma:  Backup jewels for the rich....crazy gorgeous in person.

Love this vignette.

Me...bundled up for July but just happy not to carry an umbrella!

A pretty, quiet oasis in the middle of St Honore.

Can I Have that in RED?

On this partly rainy Sunday morning in Paris, on my way to my favorite pedestrian market street, all I could see was RED!  In the shop windows along rue de Passy, now on sale or in the new collections for Fall, it's going to be red.  Even I, who owns a closet full of black, taupe, or leopard, bought a red bag this weekend!  Enjoy something important in red for Fall/Winter 2011.....a bag, a coat, a pair of great boots.  And don't forget to treat yourself to the luscious red fruits of the summer while they last!  Vous l'avez en rouge?

The newly-opened Repetto boutique on rue de Passy.
No red for me here....I want the taupe patent platforms!
